Monster Jam rolled into DC this weekend and the show delivers a high energy experience! Have you ever been to a Monster Jam show before? Here is what you can expect!
Monster Jam® Triple Threat Series™ is an action-packed, points-based event that showcases athletes as they go head-to-head in six different competitions, driving three different vehicles – Monster Jam Trucks, Speedsters and ATV’s. These world-class Monster Jam vehicles and athletes bring action-packed, adrenaline-charged family entertainment to fans across the country and deliver what they want to see most… more racing, more freestyle, more donuts, more action!
Big Trucks and Loud Noises
Yes, at Monster Jam you see these incredible trucks and their very talented drivers do some amazing driving. The trucks are way bigger in person, and about 5x louder than you think. If you are sitting close enough, you will feel your seats rumble from the loud engines revving. It is such a cool feeling. Our personal favorites are Grave Digger and Zombie. My kids absolutely love the loud noises and seeing the trucks do their thing! If you or your child is noise sensitive, I would recommend bringing headphones or ear plugs to help down out the noise. They do sell them onsite if you forget. I would recommend these shows for ages 3 and up.
More than Just Trucks
Of course the trucks are a big part of the show, but they are just one part of it. The drives also partake in 4-wheelers, speedsters all dressed in their trucks theme of course. We love seeing the 4 wheelers race and catch air!
Friendly Competition
You get to vote in real time, as well as see the panel of judges vote, for each driver and their truck. You can cheer your favorite truck on and vote for best tricks, air time, fastest, and so on!
Monster Jam drivers are trained, world-class male and female athletes who have mastered not only the physical strength and mental stamina needed to compete, but the vital dexterity to control 12,000-pound machines capable of doing backflips, vertical two-wheel skills and racing at speeds up to 70 miles per hour to produce jaw-dropping, live motor sports action seen around the world. Now across all Monster Jam events, fans in every city will have the chance to vote for the winner in the two-wheel and freestyle competitions by real-time, in-stadium fan voting on their smartphones.
