Theme parks and concerts? There is nothing sweeter! This summer my family and I experienced a super fun concert at Hersheypark Stadium. This was our first time at this stadium and it was a blast to be there and help kick off their summer concert series! This is the perfect venue for maximum summer fun. Checkout the summer line up and our concert tips and tricks!
Fun fact- Hersheypark Stadium has 15,641 permanent seats, 1,200 additional bleacher seating. Festival concert capacity is 30,000.
- Make a day out of it! If you are planning to see a concert at this location, spend the day at Hersheypark! If you are season pass holders this is a no brainer, but even if you are not, you can take advantage of the event special tickets with Hersheypark. With The Hersheypark Event Special you can receive discounted admission to Hersheypark with your event ticket stub when you present it at the Hersheypark Ticketing Services Building. Event ticket must be presented the day before, day of, or day after an event. The Hersheypark Event Special is available during the Hersheypark summer season, during regular operating hours. For more information on how to receive this discount, visit the event special section of the Hersheypark admission tickets page.
- Arrive early and to claim your seats. Unless you have premium seating, all seats are stadium, bench style and are first come first served. We arrived and hour before the opening act and still had decent seats. Hersheypark Stadium is an open air venue with a variety of seating options. Premium seating and season seats are also available.
- Enjoy the fun food! Under the grandstands, there are a ton of great food options to choose from. Sherri’s Mac Shack is amazing and has the best buffalo mac and cheese. So good! On the track area, there is popcorn and lemonade. Sometimes there is even food trucks. At the concert we were at they had a variety of trucks in addition to their regular offerings.
- Tailgating is only permitted in designated parking areas. That being said you can definitely park, enjoy some picnic food, games and hangout time pre-concert.
- It is all outdoors so be prepared for weather. You’ll need sunglasses, hats, possibly a poncho if there are any showers in the vicinity.
We saw Thomas Rhett and he put on an amazing show! The vibe was summer fun, family friendly. We enjoyed dinner and snacks on site before the show. We even got some popcorn mid show. Parking was a breeze getting in and out of the venue. Overall it was a very pleasent experience. I can’t wait to head back for another show!
