Terra Willy – Unexplored Planet Cupcakes

Chocolate Cupcakes: 

• 1 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour 
• ¼ teaspoon baking soda 
• 2 teaspoons baking powder 
• ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder 
• ⅛ teaspoon salt 
• 3 tablespoons of softened butter
• 1 ½ cups white sugar 
• 2 eggs 
• 1 teaspoon of vanilla
• 1 cup milk
  

Topping:  

• 12 lollipops
• 1 pack of lifesaver gummies
• blue frosting 
• galaxy sprinkles/candy  

Baking: 

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Line a muffin pan with paper or foil liners. Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa and salt. Set aside.
• In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Add the flour mixture alternately with the milk. Mix until fully blended. Fill the muffin cups 3/4 full.
• Bake for 15 to 17 minutes. I always use the toothpick trick… insert a toothpick into the cake and see if it comes out clean. Let cool before decorating.

Decorating: 

• Frost cupcakes with your favorite shade of blue frosting. You can even alternate if you’d like. 
• Add crushed up oreo cookies, galaxy colored sprinkles, and small round candies all over the frosting to create your galaxy look. 
• To add a planet, take a life saver gummy and stretch it over a lollipop, insert into the cupcake
• Enjoy with your alien and human friends
