My kids have been enjoying the summer to the fullest! Every now and then they need a break from the heat, and to enjoy some relaxing time indoors. I love that my kids love to build and create with LEGO. They have built many fun and creative things this summer. Playing and creating with LEGO is a great way for kids to take a break from the heat, enjoy quiet time in their room, or even build with one another.
I love that LEGO has many fun summer themed sets to keep the summer vibe going strong, even when indoors. We recently got our hands on the LEGO Creator 3in1 Sunshine Surfer Van Building Kit, and my son went bananas for it!
This set was a ton of fun for my little guy to build. He was extra excited that he could build three different things, and create three different stories in his own little LEGO town. You can build a toy camper van with kitchenette, surfboard, parasol, BBQ and camping furniture. This was his favorite since he loves to camp. My son has always wanted to stay in a camper, so he is living vicariously through his LEGO set, as we all do 🙂 He loved the little grill and surfboard, and quickly built a beach themed area for his new camper to fit in. It was also really neat to see the set transform into a Lifeguard Tower with quad bike, and a Beach Buggy. This set also includes 2 LEGO minifigures: a woman and a man. Camping and beach time, talk about summer fun at it’s finest!
You can get this set at most LEGO stores or online at various retailers as well. This set is recommended for ages 8-12, and has 379 pieces. My son is 12, and it was totally up his alley. Again, we are big fans of the creator sets, and the LEGO Creator 3in1 Sunshine Surfer Van is hours of fun!
