As many of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Most likely you know someone who has been affected by breast cancer. I, too, have friends and family members who have had to fight this terrible disease. Some have won, some have lost, and some still fight. My grandmother lost her battle to breast cancer over 15 years ago. I remember thinking how scary the word cancer was. I remember visiting her after a surgery and hearing her determination and zest for life still strong. She passed that quality on to her son, my father, who most certainly passed that on to me.
Many people wonder how they can help show support for breast cancer. Thanks to Valvoline Instant Oil Change & their #WipeOutBreastCancer campaign, you can do just that. VIOC has joined forces with AutoTex PINK windshield wipers this October, where proceeds from the Pink wipers will be going to National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). This is a very practical way anyone can show support and help raise awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. You can choose from full Pink Wipers or Black Wipers with a small pink ribbon. Regardless, anyone can go in and get their wipers changed to the Pink ones. VIOC has raised over $86,500 for NBCF through this campaign to date, which is incredible! The wiper blades fit 98% of cars, trucks and SUVs manufactured after 2003.
I recently went in to get an oil change and install my new Pink wipers. The service was fast and the job was done right.
