Sometimes we just need a “me” day. I know I need them more than I take them, that is for sure! I was beyond thrilled to spend the morning at the Red Door Salon & Spa at Pike & Rose. This is a newly opened location and it is a beautiful facility, just waiting for your day of relaxation. Being that this was days before I headed to the beach, I opted for a Gel Manicure and an Escape Pedicure. Both were long overdue, and it was just what the doctor ordered.
The Red Door at Pike & Rose invites you to enjoy their customized menu across multiple service categories including massage therapy, facials, manicures, pedicures, makeup artistry, eyelash extensions and a full service hair salon. Upon entering the facility, you are greeted with fresh, relaxing vibes thanks to the beautiful decor, as well as friendly service. I enjoyed a hot latte as I awaited my appointment to begin. My nail technician was very friendly and professional. I enjoyed the Gel Manicure from start to finish. They had a variety of colors to choose from and the gel has lasted through all of our sandy fun at the beach! Pedicures are one of my most favorite things! I got to recline back, enjoy reading in peace and literally soaked in all the peace! Pamper yourself with the Escape package where your toes and legs are exfoliated, then treated with moisture-rich paraffin before polish. I left completely satisfied and eager to return!
After my morning or pampering, I met up with my husband to enjoy a delicious lunch at the City Perch Kitchen & Bar. This restaurant is located near the iPic theaters. The City Perch offers amazing seasonal American dining. I loved the laid back atmosphere and all of the greenery. I definitely felt like a little bird perched atop the building looking out the window. I had to order the Lobster Cobb Salad. It was delectable and I gobbled up every single bite. The salad is made with poached lobster, bibb + romaine lettuce, beefsteak + cherry tomatoes, avocado, applewood bacon, hard-boiled eggs, sweet onion dressing. I loved the dressing, and the portion makes for a very filling meal. My husband enjoyed the Grilled Cheese with Brisket, served with green bean fries. I had to steal a few bites of both, and it was tasty! We loved the food and the atmosphere here!
After my pampering and a nice lunch, we enjoyed walking around Pike & Rose and taking in the fun at The Beach area. This is a fun summer hang out spot. Dip your toes in the sand while you kickback with a cocktail! That’s right, on Friday and Saturday, The Beach Bar, hosted by Ridgewells Catering is open from 4pm to 9pm-ish (beach vibes and summer weather dependent). Pike & Rose is a great location for a mini getaway, even if it is only for the morning!
