We have all had our share of experiencing lucky days and not so lucky days right? I know I sure have. Maybe you even have a lucky rabbit foot or good luck charm! In the new movies from Apple Original Films & Skydance Annimation, we get a look into all think lucky. Where does luck come from, how does one acquire it? And everything in between. With a cast of lovable and relatable characters, as well as a powerful message, this is a wonderful family film.
From Apple Original Films and Skydance Animation comes the story of Sam Greenfield, the unluckiest person in the world, who when she stumbles into the never-before-seen Land of Luck, sets out on a quest to bring some good luck home for her best friend. But with humans not allowed, her only chance is teaming up with the magical creatures who live there to do it.
We see the story of Sam, who lives in a group home and ages out of the system. It seems as though nothing goes her way and it’s bad luck 24/7. All that changes when she finds a lucky penny she is willing to go to great lengths to keep forever.
I got to interview some of the talented voice cast as well as the Director of Luck to hear about their characters, the messaging behind the film and the making of Luck. Check it out!
Luck Interview with Jane Fonda & Director Peggy Holmes
Luck Interview with Eva Noblezada & Flula Borg
My kids and I love this movie. Sam is so relatable and it is so much fun to go along with her on this journey. The voice cast truly brings their characters to life with a fabulous performance all around. I think it is so fitting to have Jane Fonda play a marvelous dragon, Babe. She really embodies this character and as you can learn from the interview, Fonda had a lot to do with the development and design of her character. Borg makes everyone laugh in every scene he is in. Noblezada is the perfect mix of sweet and sassy as Sam.
The movie helps us all learn what it truly means to be lucky. It’s warm, whimsical and a fun adventure the whole family can enjoy.
