Besides Lola Bunny, my favorite character from Space Jam: A New Legacy is the strong, wise and graceful mom played by the wonderful Sonequa Martin–Green. Sonequa is a real life mom of two so she brings her parenting experience to to movie. She plays Savannah James, wife to LeBron and mother of 3 on screen. I got to interview Sonequa and hear how she hopes this movie is like the original, as well as what is was like working with Lola Bunny and LeBron James.

I love how real and authentic Sonequa is. She plays this role so beautiful and brings much magic to the screen along side of her incredible co-stars. I love seeing her encourage and equip her children on screen, all while giving them the space they need.
