Everyone’s favorite lasagna loving, monday hating cat is coming to the movies this summer in The Garfield Movie! I have been a lifelong Garfield fan and have seen him in all of his movies, tv shows and read the comics growing up too. I was so excited to get to interview the incredible voice talent of a new character Jinx, voiced by Hannah Waddingham.

Garfield (voiced by Chris Pratt), the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.
Interview with Hannah Waddingham
JINX – Voiced by Hannah Waddingham- Jinx journeyed from her homeland of Britain to make it big in show business only to be met with the cold hard truth of failure. She fell on hard times and ended up on the street where she became part of Vic’s alley cat criminal crew. During one of their many heists, robbing a dairy named Lactose Farms, she was caught and sent to the pound. She felt betrayed by Vic. The hard prison life turned her simmering bitterness into a raging fire of anger. With the help of fellow canine convicts, Roland and Nolan, she escaped to collect what she’s owed by Vic.
“Hannah Waddingham is brilliant,” says writer Joel Cohen. “She voices Jinx as an overly dramatic, maniacal, and wonderfully flamboyant villain. However, she also imbues Jinx with such terrific humanity and soul, and the audience can’t help but fall in love with her. She’s a wickedly theatrical character.”
