Family fun the whole year long awaits at Hersheypark! Hersheypark offers fun events, thrill rides, family rides and delicious eats all year long. We are season pass holders for the second year in a row and have loved visiting the park and the town during all 4 seasons. I’m sharing a few highlights and our favorite events you can experience during the seasons at Hersheypark!
Spring
During the Spring weekends at Hersheypark, guests can enjoy more than 50 family-friendly rides and thrilling coasters, weather permitting, including Great Bear coaster, and Fahrenheit coaster. Tickets also include photo opportunities with Hershey Characters at Hershey‘s Hangout performance area across from the HPGO program stand and at Our Friends From The Sea shows with the seals and sea lions in the Aquatheatre inside Hersheypark. Additionally, guests can see dozens of North American animals like black bears, gray wolves, river otters and Canada lynx at ZooAmerica, included with a Hersheypark ticket for added value – only by accessing the Zoo through the bridge inside Hersheypark during posted Park hours.
We love going in the spring because the temperature is perfect, the park is beautiful and blooming, and the animals are super active during this time of year at ZooAmerica!
Summer
Bring on the waterpark fun! Whether you’re looking to cool down, or catch some rays, The Boardwalk At Hersheypark® has something for everyone – and is included in every ticket! The water park is open Memorial Day through Labor Day. The water park rides include BIG thrills like the World’s Longest Mat Racing Slides on Whitecap Racer®, and splash-filled hills, turns, and tunnels on Breakers Edge® Water Coaster. Plus, for those looking to relax we have a Lazy River, and a larger-than-life spray ground, East Coast Waterworks.
We loved spending the day at the Boardwalk! We enjoyed relaxing on the Lazy River and racing down the slides. Our favorite is the Breakers Edge water coaster. So much fun! Plus there are 10 food and beverage spots just inside the Boardwalk. Have lunch or some ice cream to cool off. This area itself is easily a full day of family water fun.
Fall
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays so I love going to the park while it is all spooky and decked for Halloween. Plus trick or treating at Hersheypark is the best! During this season guests can experience Dark Nights and Hersheypark Halloween.
Families can experience Hersheypark Halloween like never before as they play by day and fright by night, with thrills on 50 rides and attractions (weather and maintenance permitting), lights-out rides on select coasters, trick-or-treating, Hershey Characters glow dance parties and the original Creatures Of The Night flashlight tour at ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park. My youngest and I loved trick or treating and the dance party. It was a lot of fun and we ate way too much Hershey chocolate. No spooks, just sweets!
Dark Nights is an immersive scare experience featuring five haunted houses and three Scare Zones featuring all-new and evolved stories. I would recommend this for ages 13 and up, but you know your child best. If you enjoy being scared, Hersheypark pulls out all the stops and does a phenomenal job with this event. Very scary!
New this year was the RIP Dinner Buffet at Great Scare Catering. The dreadfully delicious dinner buffet includes eerie entrées, desserts to die for and more, while some of the monsters lurk about. We ate among the monsters and it was a little scary and a lot of fun!
Winter
Hersheypark Christmas Candylane is the BEST time to go to the park, hands down! I am a Christmas connoisseur and the park does Christmas best! Experience the wonder of family rides & select coasters, and sip a delicious hot chocolate while strolling through more than 5 million twinkling lights! Plus, pay a special visit to Santa and his 9 live reindeer.
It is pure magic as you stroll the sparkling park and stop by to see reindeer! It makes you feel warm and fuzzy and like you are at the North Pole. The park decor, the music, the immersive family fun during the holidays is so special. Plus the seasonal food and drinks are always amazing. Gourmet Hot Chocolate and the best cookies ever!
