There is a new Giant store opening up tomorrow in Olney MD! This is just down the street from their old location. Moving to this new location will give the store a tremendous amount of more space and help them better serve the customers in the surrounding areas. The new store features include a larger health and beauty department, enhanced hot food offerings, a full gourmet cheese shop, expanded produce and natural food offerings, sushi bar, full-service meat, seafood, bakery and floral departments, and both dairy as well as frozen kosher food sections.
A few perks of the new location
- A full service PNC Bank. This bank is closed only 3 days a year, and it completely full service. One less place you have to go to if you already bank with PNC!
- Starbucks and grocery shopping is a match made in heaven. I absolutely love that you can get your coffee before, after, or during your shopping trip.
- The larger variety of Organic and Natural foods. There is an entire aisle dedicated to just this, and it is stocked with the best of the best. I love that I can go down the whole aisle knowing it all falls under that category. Very convenient!
- Giant is going green by enclosing their cold shelving areas. This is saving so much energy, and looks great too!
- A great selection of ready made foods. This is so nice for those crazy weeknights. I think this will be a great addition to the new location for busy families.
- A Pharmacy that offers fast service but also dedicated service. It was clear when speaking to the staff that Giant is involved in the community and invested in the well being of their customers. The Pharmacist is there to help you along your entire wellness journey.
- A nutritionist who also offers classes and one on one meetings as requested. This service is perfect for those wanting to eat better, food sensitivity, or health concerns.
