“Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, dreams are forever.” – Walt Disney. One of my all time favorite quotes! This rings true in our home. My family and I love to use our imaginations, be silly, dream and yes…dress up! We love any excuse to wear a costume. A theme party, theme day at school, and of course Halloween! I wanted to share some of our favorite costumes to give you a little inspiration.
Best Disney Family Costumes
Have fun and get creative. You can purchase your costumes or make them yourself, we have done both! Here are our favorites.
Frozen
For this one, our girls costumes were purchased, and the Olad was DIY. We did white clothing and made and Olaf face on a hat using felt, and pipe cleaners for coal and sticks.
Toy Story
One of my favorites. Bo Peep was purchased. For Woody we bought the costume style tee, and then the hat separately. For the Aliens we wore blue t shirts and then bought the hat, gloved and pins form Party City. The Pins could be made if you are artsy.
Star Wars
Stormtrooper came from Party City, but Princess Lei and R2 D2 were homemade. A white robe and sash can go a long way 🙂 The Blue and Silver tutu was so easy to pair with a character tee.
Incredibles
There are all red shirts with Iron ons. The masks we got a five pack at the craft store, and we all wore black gloves and black pants. So fun and so easy!
Beauty and The Beast
My girls both wanted to be a different Belle. We have a village belle with her apron and books. We also have the classic ball gown Belle. Perfect for sisters. Our little Beast was made with Lion accessories, a dress up shirt and felt to add the embellishments.
Descendants
It’s good to be bad. Mal and Evie made the best sister costumes. Add in Maleficent and Hades to make it a family affair.
