Over the past month I have been sampling Bob’s Red Mill Flours. I have to say I was not crazy about the price, but once I learned more about this company and what they stand for, I knew that customers are getting their money’s worth. The ingredients and care that go into each bag is why I will continue to purchase the Bob’s Red Mill brand over others. Did you know? “Bob’s Red Mill America’s Best Baking Flour™ is unbleached, unbromated white flour milled from certified organic, U.S.—grown wheat. It is not enriched with any additives. Bob’s Red Mill Ivory… Read More

5 Things Every Skeptic Should Know About Essential Oils {Guest Post by Elizabeth}
If you’re reading this, then you must be skeptical about essential oils just like I once was. Well, I’m glad you’re here because we have some things to straighten out. First, let me start by admitting this: I didn’t always sing the praises of essential oils. In fact, for a few years I was very skeptical for good reason. That’s because I was using essential oils without a whole lot of results happening. So what changed? I educated myself. Not saying you’re uneducated, but perhaps there are some things you need clarification on. So, I decided to compile a list… Read More

Playground Truths {By Guest Blogger Kate}
The other day after school, I told the boys we could stay at the playground for a little while. My three year-old, Jude, had brought his basketball and my six year-old, Daniel, had recently mastered the monkey bars and wanted to show off his new skills. As we rounded the corner of the building and glimpsed the playground, we realized there must have been some sort of after-school program going on; the place was swarming with kids. My first thought was, “Oh man, we should probably just go home. Look at ALL of these people.”
The Courage to be Intentional
This was the topic we discussed at this month’s MOPS meeting. It definitely struck a chord with me. Being intentional seems pretty simple, but I have such a hard time actually putting it into practice. As I thought more about the why behind my difficulty, I realized one big reason was that I am not very good about setting achievable goals. I heard two wonderful and practical words of wisdom that day. The first was to set aside fifteen minutes of time each day to focus on something you intend to do. The item of focus can change, like menu… Read More
