Disney On Ice presents Follow Your Heart has officially skated into town! This show has something for all of you Disney lovers out there. We had the opportunity to attend opening night at the Eagle Bank area, and my kids were head over heels to see Riley and all of her Emotions!
Disney On Ice presents Follow Your Heart is bringing Disney•Pixar’s record-breaking animated feature Finding Dory to the ice for the first time in this live production produced by Feld Entertainment. The ice-skating extravaganza featuring Disney•Pixar’s Inside Out, Disney’s Frozen and other beloved Disney stories visits EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, VA on October 19 – 23, for 9 performances.
That’s right, this is the first Disney On Ice show that takes you inside Riley’s control center and as imagined, her emotions really come to life! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust all play a part in helping Riley be the best she can be. All three of my kids, ages 12, 10, and 4, were very excited to see their favorites from Inside Out!
You will also be able to find everybody’s favorite blue fish…Dory! The gang from Finding Dory was a big hit! I think everyone got a smile on their face when Hank slid out onto the ice. Both Inside Out and Finding Dory have longer segments in this show.
We also loved seeing Anna, Elsa, & Olaf! Who doesn’t like warm hugs? 🙂 It is so fun to sing along to all the songs, cheer for the sisters, and laugh at the thought of Olaf in summer.
Of course, you will also see your favorite princesses! My girls always lean forward and smile ear to ear to see the princess skate with their prince. After all, it is truly magical. In Disney On Ice presents Follow Your Heart, you will also see the gang from Toy Story! As I mentioned before, this show is great for all ages and really does have something for everyone.
The show runs just shy of 2 hours and has a 15 minute intermission. I recommend arriving a half hour before the show to find your seat and to purchase any snacks or fun items. Parents with small children- please be aware that there are fire stunts, smoke, snow, as well as black outs throughout the show.
