One of my favorite local restaurants is Founding Farmers. I recently visited the Reston location again for a ladies lunch, and as usual, I left happy and full! This is certainly a favorite spot for local foodies. Their menu variety, homemade goodness, and local flair is what sets them apart.
Founding Farmers Reston Station is a full-service restaurant and bar open seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and their Farmers Market Buffet Brunch on weekends. I have had lunch and brunch here, and they are not to be missed. This is a great location for date night, celebrations, or a ladies night out! You can go and enjoy apps and their craft cocktails made with award-winning proprietary spirits. Or, go to enjoy the incredible brunch offerings on the weekends! You can even reserve a private dining area, perfect for the holiday parties!
As a farmer-owned restaurant, almost all of their delicious food and drink is made from scratch, using high-quality ingredients from American family farms. You can truly taste the crafted, homeade difference. The atmosphere is also unique to the area. Everywhere you look you can find local artists’ work, and it is so beautiful. One of my favorites pices is the hanging clothesline made with actual farmer’s clothes!
I also love that the Reston location offers their First Bake Cafe menu weekday mornings for grab and go breakfast, and their specialty blend of Compass Coffee. You can enter through the First Bake Cafe doors and grab donuts and coffee to go! Trust me when I say, you are going to want these homemade donuts! I had a sampling and it is impossible to choose a favorite.
