Looking for a kid friendly place to give your child a cool do for the summer? Look no further than the friendliest place to get your child hair cut, Cartoon Cuts! We were invited to check out the Cartoon Cuts experience at Fair Oaks Mall, and my kids loved it!
You can call ahead for reservations, but walk-ins are always welcome too. It is kid friendly from the moment you walk in. While your child waits his or her turn, there is usually a table for coloring, legos, and a movie on. All locations are a bit different, but all have a fun waiting room environment. My kids were relaxed and at ease playing while they waited. My youngest can be a bit nervous when it comes to new experiences, so this was helpful for her.
Your child is then called for their turn, and you have the option for hair washing; my girls opted in and my son opted out. My two girls though this was a really fun experience. Our stylist greeted the kids and explained what he was doing the entire time, making sure my kids were comfortable and happy. Even my most nervous child was happy!
Once your child is taken to their chair, they can choose a movie to watch, or at some places play a video game. Again, this is great for kids who might need a distraction or help calming their nerves, and for everyone else! My kids were excited to watch Moana. Just like an adult hair cut, they brush, cut and style the kids hair. You are welcome to give them specific instructions and preferences for your child. You can also browse some of the popular current styles if you need help deciding. Our stylist was very polite, inviting, and patient with the kids. I noticed all of the stylists around were engaging the same way with their kids. It was a very positive experience for us!
Upon finishing, you can choose to style your child’s hair in multiple ways – a new do, glitter, a braid, accessories or more. You can make this experience as simple or as fancy as you’d like. My kids were very happy with their hair cuts, and of course the lolli pop surprise at the end. We will be back for back to school cuts in a couple of months!
