There is a new bookstore in the Mosaic District, and I am in love! A new Barnes & Noble opened up today! The 8,300-square-foot store features modern design aesthetics, including oak bookshelves and a mix of wood-grain tile and carpet throughout. Lower profile bookshelves will provide customers with a panoramic view of the store, contributing to an open and airy feel. A large “book theater” invites customers to discover books in a new 360-degree experience. This new store is located at 2921 District Ave., Suite 180, Fairfax, Virginia. Features I Love About This Location
- The Children’s Section – with a dedicated LEGO® activity table – creates a special environment for Barnes & Noble‘s youngest customers. The store also has a variety of comfortable seating options for customers of all ages to curl up with a good book.
- The Café at Barnes & Noble Mosaic features a brand-new look and offers a wide selection of Starbucks® beverages and fresh baked goods. Healthy grab-and-go snacks are also available. Patrons can choose from a variety of informal seating options, including outdoor seating.
- Booksellers at Barnes & Noble Mosaic will be equipped with tablets to help them assist customers anywhere in the store. This new technology will allow booksellers to help customers with product selection and easily locate books on the store floor, as well as check customers out without a visit to cashwrap. In addition, the store has a self-serve kiosk that enables customers to research, discover and locate books throughout the store.
