Disney On Ice presents Follow Your Heart is one of my favorite Disney On Ice Shows! Not only do you get to see Riley and all of her emotions from the Disney Pixar Hit, Inside Out, they also intertwine emotions brought out in other Disney movies. This makes way for a few special princesses and much more!
We loved to swim along side Dory , Marlin, and Nemo as they discover the true meaning of family. The ocean on ice is quite a site to see! During the show you also venture to wintery world of Arendelle where Olaf and Kristoff help reunite royal sisters Anna and Elsa from Disney’s Frozen! My kids loved seeing Olaf dream about life in the summer time, and of course seeing Elsa build her Ice Palace! See Cinderella, Rapunzel, Tiana and the Disney Princesses make their dreams come true through their virtues of bravery, kindness and perseverance. My girls were in awe at the beautiful and inspiring princess routines. My son had the biggest smile when Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jesse, and the Toy Story gang skated onto the scene! Seeing Rex on ice is a ton of fun! The characters are mesmerizing and the talent is incredible! I had the pleasure of speaking with an ensemble character prior to the show, and she let me know what skating on ice with the magic of Disney was all about!
Katie Curran, from Denver Colorado, has been skating since she was 2 years old. Katie is currently enjoying her first Disney On Ice tour with Disney On Ice presents Follow Your Heart. Katie is an ensemble character, meaning she gets to skate in the group numbers, learns many routines, and gets to wear a ton pf fun costumes! Skating is Katie’s passion and she was many accolades to prove it! A few of her awards include 2016 Regional Championships Senior Ladies 5th place, US Figure Skating Moves in the Field Gold, Medalists, US Figure Skating Freestyle Gold Medalist, 2015 Broadmoor Junior Ladies Jump Award, US Figure Skating certified Basic Skills instructor. If you have ever seen a Disney On Ice show, you know they have the best skaters and performers! It is no wonder that it takes 2 weeks of 8 hr days to learn the routines! It was so nice to chat with Katie about being on tour with Disney On Ice. Her favorite routine to do is Be Our Guest, because the costumes are fun to wear, and they get to be up close with the audience and seeing the fans faces is priceless. Katie said her favorite Disney character is Ariel, and that is my daughters favorite too! She was sure to let me know this show has Ariel doing more than swimming and skating… her routine was breath taking! Katie is really enjoying working on this tour and bringing the magic to each city she visits!
