I had the privilege of attending a Comcast Luncheon with some other awesome #XFINITYMoms. It was an opportunity for us moms to learn about the cool, new technology that Comcast has to offer. It was fun to get our hands on the latest and greatest and to mingle with and ask questions of the great customer service and tech teams from Comcast.
I loved going into the lab with the tech team. I knew some of the basics, but learned about a lot of new, advanced features only found on XFINITY X1! I personally love what X1 has to offer from a parent perspective. I think every mom is going to want XFINITY X1 when it comes to their little ones’ screen time.
So what is XFINITY X1 and what makes it so great? Well, for starters you will never have to scroll through the guide again! With the X1 voice remote, it does the searching for you. Let X1 search across live TV, On Demand, and your DVR library to find exactly what you want to watch, fast. X1 will even make recommendations just for you and give you shortcuts to what you watch most. The VOICE controlled remote is amazing! You literally just say a show or an actor out loud and bam… the listings come up! It was so fun to play around with this feature. It easily recognized my voice and pulled up the show I was looking for. Talk about a time saver – and it’s so user-friendly!
I also love the Kid Zone that X1 offers. It is a breath of fresh air to not have to worry about what commercials my kids might see or hear flipping through channels. I know that if they are on Kid Zone, everything will be suitable for their little eyes and ears. Kid Zone makes sure only child friendly programming is being viewed. You can also see the the ratings and content before viewing any show thanks to Common Sense Media.
The XFINITY Connect app is a downloadable app that extends your Comcast services onto mobile devices (Apple and Android), allowing you access to your account, your home phone voicemails, and send and receive free text messages to more than 30 countries using your XFINITY Voice service. You can also make and receive video calls. The best feature is that you can access your X1 DVR! On the plane, in the hotel, or on the go – you can take your DVR with you.
With XFINITY Home Security and 24/7 Video Recording, you can view live video online with the XFINITY Home app, or watch it at your convenience when you have time. You can check on your home while on vacation or make sure your kids are safe while home alone. XFINITY Home also allows you to customize your home devices, like using the equipment you already have, or swapping devices for the ones you want. You can even control your XFINITY Home service right from your TV with the X1. Packages vary and are very reasonable. You can select the package and devices that best suit you and your home.
It was a great afternoon learning about all the great products and services that Comcast has to offer. XFINITY has amazing features that you will want to have. Trust me when I say that the voice remote controller is everything! 🙂
