Each night, two to four piano players in teams of two take your requests and keep the crowd singing. You write your song request on the napkins provided for just that. These entertainers can play it all! We heard everything from Journey, to Taylor Swift, to Neil Diamond, to classic nursery rhymes. We were at the family friendly show. I’ve heard it can get even more entertaining in the evening, where you’ll see the entertainer play everything from drums, to fiddle, to guitar, all while taking your requests.
The family day is held once per month at Bobby McKey’s on a Saturday from 1:30-3:30pm. Tickets are $18 per person and includes lunch and the show. Upon arrival, we were quickly seated and able to head to the buffet line. The family day lunch was a great fit, serving kid-friendly food such as chicken tenders, pizza, salad and macaroni and cheese. We then began eating and writing requests down on our napkins. The kids loved the colorful light up piano tables we were seated at. This is such a great environment and set up for its purpose, to engage guests and have a good time! The two entertainers that day were very well versed in today’s hits and yesterday’s classics, as well as silly kid songs. Every song was very well done! People were singing along, clapping and having fun! Our family loves music and this was such a unique family event…we loved it! Bobby McKey’s is open Monday to Thursday from 6pm-12am (unless booked for a private event) with a fantastic 60% off all drinks happy hour between 6pm-8pm. The show starts at 8pm. Reserve seats early, as the good ones go fast! There is a $5 cover charge Monday to Thursday for seats and standing room. Fridays and Saturdays their happy hours are 5pm-8pm and the show goes from 8pm until 2am.
