When you think Planet Hollywood you think ultimate movie nostalgia, fun atmosphere, and good food. The newly remodeled Planet Hollywood Orlando in Disney Springs takes all of these things up a few notches. I had the pleasure of exploring and dining in this location a few weeks ago.
First of all, the outside looks so cool and intriguing that you want to go inside and see what the buzz is all about. It certainly lives up to all of the hype! From the tons of cool and unique merchandise to the fun memorabilia to admire, Planet Hollywood has it all. Our favorite pieces we saw were the outfits from Forest Gump, the Jersey from Happy Gilmore, and an R2D2 model. These are just a few of the items to see in their giant collection on display.
Once seated inside the observatory, you are instantly a part of the party! They have a DJ playing all kinds of hits from classic rock to current hits. Fun sing-along and shout outs take place all around you. We were definitely having a blast… how could you not? As far as the food goes, Guy Fieri knocks it out of the park! We started the night off with a drink form the extensive bar menu. You can even get a variety of souvenir mugs! My husband and I chose to share the cheese dip. It came with pita bread and chips, the best of both words. It was creamy, cheesy, and a good size portion.
I then enjoyed the Original Ringer Burger. With crispy onions, BBQ sauce and Donkey Sauce, this burger was amazing! It looked just like the picture and had delicious flavor. I even had to order a side of Donkey Sauce for good measure. The Triple Fries are so good that I could have ordered 10 as my entree. You get curly fries, wedge fries, and regular fries, crispy golden potato slices of heaven.
So good! My husband ordered the BBQ Ribs and they were delicious. Saucy, tender, finger licking good! They were cooked perfectly, and had just the right amount of sauce. These were also served with the Triple Fries, and the whole thing came on a mini picnic table! Love!
For dessert, I couldn’t pass up trying one of the Supernova shakes, and I am so glad I tried one. I got the Chocolate Comet. This was pure chocolate gold. A rich and creamy chocolate shake with chocolate candies coating the rim, and a brownie to top it all off, this shake is a chocolate lovers dream!
Planet Hollywood Observatory in Orlando makes for a fun date night, family outing, or girls night out! With a delicious menu and fun atmosphere, you are sure to enjoy your dining experience form start to finish!
