2 Hearts - Does the Cast Believe in Miracles?

A romantic, inspiring film, 2 Hearts is playing in theaters now! For two couples the future unfolds in different decades and different places, but a hidden connection will bring them together in a way no one could have predicted. Based on an inspirational true story, 2 Hearts is a romantic journey that celebrates life, love and generosity of spirit, and challenges audiences to believe miracles are possible. Though they were never meant to meet, fate has something entirely unexpected in store for both couples that dramatically changes the course of their lives.

About The Movie

2 Hearts’ journey to the screen began about five years ago, when veteran producer Conrad Hool met an extraordinary couple while taking a cruise of the Pacific with his wife. Jorge and Leslie who inspired the characters of Jorge and Leslie Bolivar in the film, were also passengers on that cruise and a friendship between the four took root. During an onboard game of paddle tennis and lunch, they bonded and began to trade histories. Jorge, and Leslie, a former PanAm flight attendant, shared the story of their lifelong romance, which had begun almost 50 years earlier. The marriage had weathered many storms, including Jorge’s severe genetic pulmonary disease. Through it all, the couple traveled the world together, vowing to live life as fully as possible, no matter what. They also revealed to Conrad their miraculous connection with young Chris Gregory and his family, an all-American clan from suburban Maryland. The ways in which these very different people had changed each other’s lives convinced the producer that the story had the potential for a formidable feature film.

The rest was history. With permission from the families, the script was written and filming begun. The story goes back and forth between two completely different eras. I love the contrast between countries, and lifestyles, yet the similarities of love and hope remain the same. The story gives you suspence, drama and tugs on your heartstrings.

What Makes the Movie Inspiring

Lance Hool, Producer of the film says “First I hope audiences are entertained by it, because that’s why we go to the movies,” he says. “I also hope it speaks to everyone, and that people leave this movie feeling the joy of being alive and wanting to share that with people they love. Life is a miracle. The more I live, the more I am in wonder at everyone’s life. The only thing you can really control is trying to be the best human being you can. And sometimes we just have to give our hands up to God and trust that we’re being led in the right direction.”

2 Hearts definitely made me pause to think and question if I am living life to the fullest. It made me want to call my loved ones, and appreciate the little things like family movie nights, zoom calls, and game nights.
