Busch Gardens is our favorite theme park to visit in Virginia. They have fun for all ages, during all 4 seasons! With Fall comes the Halloween fun. Yes, they have kid friendly day time fun AND spooky night time fun for those who are brave enough!
Here are my top 4 reasons to visit during Halloween!
1- Every weekend in October, children 9 and younger are encouraged to come dressed in their best Halloween costume to enjoy Halloween shows, dancing and playing with their favorite Sesame Street® friends at The Count’s Spooktacular. This can’t-miss event includes an all-new show, Count’s Countdown to Halloween, dance parties and parading with friendly, furry monsters through the park to end the day for families before Howl-O-Scream begin in the evening.
2- Kid-friendly rides, family activities and trick-or-treating is offered around the park for the little guests to celebrate the fall season. Halloween decorations will be set up during the day, please note that the scare squad, dim lighting and fog will not start until 6 p.m. The park is good for all aged during the day time event.
3- Be prepared to get Sacred at Howl-O-Sream! Fear abounds in the Virginia theme park’s collection of elaborate haunted houses, immersive themed Terror-tories ™, and darkly entertaining live shows. If you like to be scared or are up for the challenge, then this is a spooky holiday experience you won’t want to miss!
4- 2 New Scary additions include a NEW Haunted House- FROSTBITE and a NEW Terror-Tory AXE ALLEY! My husband and I are excited to check these out!
A few things to keep in mind~
If your child’s costume has a mask or prop, we ask for you to kindly leave those at home. Smiling faces always look better in family photos. We offer plenty of options to jazz up your child’s costume with face paint, glow items, and more at the park. Guests can visit one of our face-painting booths to transform into a favorite Halloween character.
The daytime event runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, Oct. 7 through Oct. 29, and is included in park admission. Save 50% with a special kids’ ticket available to use in October. For more information, visit https://seaworldparks.com/en/buschgardens-williamsburg/attractions/events/halloween-spooktacular .
Guests should consider the park’s elevated scare factor when deciding whether Howl-O-Scream is appropriate for young children. Please be advised that some of our spooky decorations are visible during the day, but our scare actors, dim lighting and fog will not start until 6 p.m.
I hope you enjoy the fall fun and festivities that Busch Gardens Williamsburg has to offer!
