Soak Up The Summer Fun At Kings Dominion’s Soak City!

Soak City is THE place for ultimate summer fun for the entire family! We headed out to Kings Dominion yesterday, and let me tell you, we had a fantastic time kicking off our summer vacation in the water park. Kings Dominion is one of our favorite theme parks for families. They really do have something for everyone – from tots to teens!

For Tots~ For the little ones, Soak City has a fantastic splash pad area where kids can run free and enjoy the water in a not so overwhelming area. There area also two other areas, Splash Island and Lil Bare Foot Beach, that are completely dedicated to the under 54 inch groups. 

For Teens~My pre-teens and husband absolutely love the fast water slides like Pipeline Peak and Paradise Plunge! There are many slide that my big kids/almost teens can do themselves. They love every second of it! As I mentioned before, Soak City has water fun for the whole family. 

For Families~ As a family, we love to float down the Lazy River. I could do that all day! It is a nice break between the other water park rides. We also love the 2 wave pools! Who doesn’t love playing in the wave pool? It is so much fun to jump along with the waves, and it really wears out the kids, too! 

I also love that Soak City offers life jackets for kids in a few different areas. It is a beautiful park with lots of lounge chairs, umbrellas, and shady areas when you need to dry off. Cabanas are available to rent for maximum relaxation by the pool 🙂 

Our game plan for the day consisted of dividing up to go ride the slides and explore the kiddie areas. We met back after a couple of hours to do the Lazy River a few times and the Zoom Flume. Then it was off to the wave pool, a quick break to enjoy a snack, then repeat! Soak City has you covered in the snack department, too! You can get food and snacks such as assorted fresh salads, grab ‘n’ go desserts,  yogurt and fruit parfaits, kid’s meals, ice cream, beverages and more!

Soak City is the coolest place to cool off this summer. It is certainly both mom & kid approved. See for yourself in our video!
