Imagine a place where tiny bunnies, giraffes, tigers, and animals alike live in peace and harmony…Welcome to Zootopia! A metropolitan city where all animals live, work, and play together! A place where anyone can be anything.
Zootopia is my favorite movie of the year so far. This heartwarming tale delivers such a good message and a reminder we all need to hear once in a while. You meet optimistic Officer Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin), who discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), to solve the mystery. Walt Disney Animation Studios Zootopia, a comedy-adventure directed by Byron Howard (“Tangled,” “Bolt”) and Rich Moore (“Wreck-It Ralph,” “The Simpsons”) and co-directed by Jared Bush (“Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero”).
I love the chemistry between Judy and Nick. They pair together and solve a crime no one else could. Both Nick and Judy have to overcome their own self doubts and bring out the best in each other along the way. Nick helps Judy see that great things can come in the smallest of packages. Judy helps Nick believe in his true self, not just the stereotypes that the other animals have about foxes. In Zootopia, anyone can be anything! So much heart and so much humor, even some subtle adult humor 🙂 My favorite character has to be Clawhauser. I love how full of joy and unjaded he is. My kids laughed with the characters and also really felt sorry for the them. Walt Disney does what they do best, drawing you in, making you believe in these characters…making you feel the emotions right alongside them! We loved our trip to Zootopia and I think you will, too. This is sure to be a family favorite!
