Let’s be real, when we talk cars I need something that is stylish and drives nice, but I also need something that can wrangle my family of 5 from point a to point b and everything in between. The Mazda CX-9 definitely met these requirements and more!
The 2017 Mazda CX-9 is a mid-size, three-row crossover SUV that is perfect for families. It can seat up to seven. The destination possibilities are endless thanks to CX-9’s all-weather capability from its optional predictive i-ACTIV all-wheel drive and class leading fuel-efficiency. We drove this car in some pretty heavy rain and it did a great job! I can imagine it is a breeze in the snow and rough terrains as well.
Style & Space- The CX-9 is certainly stylish, that’s for sure. From the wheel to the dashboard, I loved the look and feel of it. I really liked the wide screen and how user friendly the sound system was. The CX-9 has a sleek body and sporty feel to it. One thing we also loved was the space. We made use of the third row seat during our trip to Busch Gardens and it was great to have! We also folded down half of the third row seat to make more room for a few items we were lugging around that day. I really like the ease it takes to convert the CX-9 to what you need. The seats, including the third row all move back and front as well as tilt! Of course, the USB ports are helpful and useful to have. There is one in the front console and one in the middle row console.
Great Gas Milage- The fuel economy is another win on this SUV, getting 26 miles per gallon on the highway and 20 in the city. Our family is on the go a lot, so getting decent gas milage is a huge plus for us!
Safety Features– I certainly appreciated the safety features such as Blind Spot Monitoring System, Distance Recognition Support System and Lane Keep Assist. These features are extremely helpful in preventing accidents. Anything that I can do to make our time in the car safer is a win, and Mazda is doing just that. These are just a few of the fantastic safety features the Mazda CX-9 has to offer.
As far as family vehicles go, this one passed the Davis family test run! Spacious, stylish, comfortable, and tech savvy, we would definitely drive the Mazda CX-9 again. Mom & kid approved!
