In my house, books are gold. We love to read and we have shelves and shelves of books. The library is one of our favorite places! You can imagine the excitement around my kids reviewing a variety of National Geographic Kids Leveled Readers.
National Geographic Kids is the leading nonfiction publisher for kids, and the only publisher with the world’s premier science, education, and research organization at its core. The reason my kids love National Geographic Kids books is because of the amazing content and beautiful pictures. My kids love seeing the real life images and learning about all kinds of interesting things. NGK Readers deliver amazing color photos, facts, and fun on every page because research shows that these are appealing to kids. They feed a child’s natural curiosity about the world, and curiosity is a powerful motivator for reading. This is so true for my kids! They are intrigued by the visual stimulation and hooked on the interesting facts. We also love to see the funny subject-related jokes and puns, because research shows that laughing actually helps kids learn. My son can recite a lot of jokes and facts thanks to these books! Our favorites are currently Hop, Bunny and Follow Me! We also love the variety of books – animals, planets, places and more!
National Geographic Kids celebrates National Reading Month (March), which promotes the vast benefits of reading! Not that you need an excuse to read a great book, but perhaps challenge your kids to read 3 great books a week, or something similar?
Want to engage even more with NGK? Good news! Kids can interact even more with the books through the National Geographic Kids Super Readers website, where they can download free posters, sticker sheets, and other prizes and activities as they chart their own reading accomplishments. What a great way to encourage and promote reading
