To celebrate the all-new 10th anniversary edition of the New York Times Best-Selling National Geographic Kids Almanac, National Geographic invited my family to participate in their annual Bring Your Child to Work Day Event. We were able to enjoy a ton of hands on fun, and educational experiences at the National Geographic HQ in DC. We also got to see the 2020 Almanac, and my kids were instantly obsessed! You can find additional information about the new title here.
About the Almanac
- The National Geographic Kids Almanac is designed to inspire young readers to be the change they want to see in the world
around them, encouraging them to become more involved environmentally, socially and in other ways.
- This May, National Geographic Kids releases the 10th edition of its New York Times best-selling almanac for kids: National
Geographic Kids Almanac 2020
- This year’s almanac features all-new content, interviews with renowned National Geographic explorers in each chapter, a
special look at what was going on in the world when the first National Geographic Kids Almanac came out 10 years ago, plus
the results of the 2019 Almanac Challenge — Lions Forever Poster Contest — and a new challenge for kids who want to get
involved with helping our planet.
- The National Geographic Kids Almanac 2020 will be available for purchase on May 7. It is currently available for pre-order
This is a great resource for kids. All three of mine ages 7, 12, and 14, enjoyed looking through the Almanac, finding interesting facts, and of course learning new things! The National Geographic Kids Almanac 2020 would make for the perfect book for summer reading!
