Kona Grill is a fabulous addition to the Fair Oaks Mall! The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous on the inside and offers guests an upscale, yet casual experience. The entrance includes an 800 gallon aquarium as well as a huge all season outdoor patio. The aquarium is stunning to see up close and my kids were mesmerized by it.
Kona Grill’s emphasis is on made from scratch contemporary dishes served in an upscale casual environment. Kona Grill has a diverse menu of appetizers, flatbreads, salads, sandwiches, poultry, beef and seafood entrees. I was pleasantly surprised by the menu selection.
My entree, the Macadamia Nut Chicken came with house mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, shoyu cream, and pineapple-papaya marmalade. This dish blew me away! It was so delicious, I savored every bite. I would go here again just for this!
My husband enjoyed the Basil Pesto Linguine. This dish was made up of chicken, andouille sausage, tomatoes, pesto cream, and garlic bread. Again, it was divine! I had a few bites myself, just to make sure. I loved the bursted tomatoes throughout.
Lastly, our kids enjoyed their meals in an adorable Bento Box. Not only was the presentation fun, but they had multiple choices to choose from, along with traditional kid favorites. I love the idea of teaching our kids to try new things and to eat colorful and healthy, too! Plus, the kids were entertained by the original iPad, also known as an Etch-A-Sketch 🙂
My family and I were highly satisfied with out Kona Grill Experience. Not only were the servers great and knowledgeable, but the food was magnificent! I cannot wait to go back and try more items on this menu!
